Elections TV App
The Story
2020 Elections is coming up. The first of this build was made in 2016. There were a few features that were not added into the final build due to time constraints. Four years later, the app needs to be updated to the new STB.

The Ask: To update the UX/UI to fit the modern refresh design along with being able to add in additional pages that did not make it into the last builds from the other election years.

The UX Audit
The ask was to add in a feature that was removed from the previous build. The UX from 2016 already had the feature documented and was just going to save and release it into the shared wires. Upon further analysis of the UX documentation, it was noted that the UX was out of date due to the modern refresh updates that was made in 2017 to the design of the STB.

Other Design Issues
• In2016, engineering made changes to the build.
• In 2018, there was another mini election build. UI was updated to match the modern refresh design.
The changes that were made in both years were not documented in UX.
Design Approach
• Compare original UX to modern refresh UX and update to make sure flows worked.

• Work with engineering to document any changes that were made.

• Work with UI designer to make sure the the UI matched the UX.
​
• Attend demos to see that the build was correct and to answer any questions.
